Weaving hope and dignity into the fabric of our communities through education support and empowerment initiatives.
To empower underprivileged children and youth through comprehensive education support, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and dignity needed to succeed in their academic journey and beyond.
A South Africa where every child, regardless of their socio-economic background, can attend school with dignity, confidence, and all the necessary resources to achieve their full potential.
Ubuntu • Dignity • Empowerment • Education • Community • Transparency • Sustainability • Compassion
Founded in 2024, Threads for iKasi Foundation emerged from a simple yet powerful observation: too many children in our communities were missing school or attending with damaged uniforms that affected their confidence and learning experience.
What started as a small initiative to provide school uniforms to a handful of learners in Tembisa has grown into a comprehensive support system reaching thousands of children across multiple schools in Gauteng.
Our founders, driven by the Ubuntu philosophy - "I am because we are" - believed that by addressing the basic dignity needs of learners, we could unlock their potential and transform entire communities. This belief continues to guide everything we do.
Today, Threads for iKasi Foundation is a registered Non-Profit Organization (NPO: 2024/352240/08) working tirelessly to ensure that no child's education is compromised due to lack of proper uniforms or essential dignity items.
